Royal Jelly prevents Osteoporosis in Rats
Recently published article by Hidaka, Okamoto, Uchiyama, Nakatsuma, Hashimotom, Ohnishi and Yamaguchi In Evidence-based Complementary and Alternative Medicine (Oxford Journal) talks about Royal Jelly and post menopausal Osteoporosis. Let’s see what they’ve found out.
“With the growing aged population, we urgently need to develop new and effective treatments for chronic and protracted diseases, e.g. chronic pain, diabetes, arthritis, osteoporosis, cancer as well as cardiovascular and brain ailments. Recently, more and more unconventional therapies have been used for treating these diseases”
Rats were divided into eight groups and researched for various influences.
And the results:
Royal jelly significally reduced the bone loss. They believe that RJ may be useful in humans for the prevention of not only post-menopausal osteoporosis but also osteoporosis in general.
