Are swarming bees dangerous?

No. The answer is NO! My experience with carniolian bee swarm is that this is the time bees are very calm. They have no urge to sting when they swarm! The following pictures are pictures of the biggest swarm I’ve ever dealt with. Not one bee had stung me!

This is why many people just hold a queen bee and the whole swarm surrounds her. Some people put the queen in their mouth, some one their hand, some even wear a bee scarf ;)

    Hello,

I am a French bee-keeper residing on the Island of the Meeting
(Indian Ocean) and prepares a work on the bees. For illuster the work,
I seek on a purely gracious basis of beautiful photographs of
bee-keeping and more particularly concerning: Photographs primary
education swarm If you have the stereotypes in question,ou partly, the
editor imposes a photographs resolution in jpg of 1 méga or 300
minimum pixel for a dimention minimum of 15×21 or more. If necessary
the stereotype left the camera numerical of mini resolution (72 pixels
    but with a maximum dimention)

The editor also underlines the authorization of the
photographer to reproduce his photographs in the work.

The source of the stereotypes will be quoted in work.

I thank you for your collaboration to this book, as your authorization
which grants to me to join the stereotypes in illustration.

I just found a swarm of bees in one of my trees and my house is surrounded by swarming bees. I hope that you are correct in saying that they do not sting or attack when they swarm. Just to be safe, I think I will stay indoors today. By the way, what do I do if they stay?

Ok. Now they’re probably gone already? They want to find a hole or sth. The is just a temporary stay while.

Swarming carnica bees are not dangerous at all. I’m not sure for other species.

I have heard that a bee swarm will sometimes snap off the branch of a tree with their combined weight if they swarm onto a tree. Is this true and does this make the bees angry enough to attack? I am not scared of bees - just curious.
