Looks like you have yourself an Eastern Pondhawk. They are one of my favorites (them and the Green Darners). Yours is probably female, or a young male (the males turn solid blue and only retain green on their faces).

I might be crazy, but they certainly seem to be the more “friendly” of dragonflies, as they do not seem to be as intimidated by people as other dragonflies (that said, they still won’t stick around long enough for you to get close to them most of the time).

how did you “debug” I would have “deleted” the thing but some others would “quarantine” it probably.

Oh no dee, I did not kill the dragonfly!!

It was a beutifull dragonfly. I held it firmly, gently pressed on the table and when the selftimer made the photo I let him go. He was trapped for 30 seconds and flew away imidietely

I’m guessing that you are under 25 years old. If you continue to kill anything insect , animal, etc which you are unfamiliar with, you will have Problems. Why didn’t you educate yourself instead.

That is a beautiful, magical dragonfly. My mother always said that you’d have good luck if a dragonfly landed on you!
